By Nicholas Tselepidis and George Psarras
Oct 24, 2005, 09:54

In this second part we can see along with the Greek a/c some exotic and rare participations from Egypt, Serbia or Romania and Croatia. A unique collection of a/c and h/c that make us excpect more for the next edition of Archangel in 2 years time!

Phantoms have invaded "Mirageland" Tanagra in the late Friday afternoon... These are the facilities that 342 Mira used in the past.

The Tiger of 335 Mira during the rain on Friday.

Here is a close up of the tail of "158825".

RF-4E "7519" has just landed moments before and the crew is disembarking.

Despite the airshow, the 'other airshow' goes on. These 2 Mirage 2000's were on QRA duties during the whole weekend, while most of 331 Mira had redeployed to Skyros in order to provide its facilities to the visitors.

MiG-21 Lancer A "5912" has just landed and the pushback takes it to its parking position.

T-6 A Texan II "039" from 361 Mira in Kalamata, was also present. Four 361 instructor pilots form the HAF T-6 Demo Team that made its debut in Archangel!

T-41 Mescalero "69-7197" from Tatoi, was also present, reminding us that fighter pilots must begin their training in this hugely popular trainer.

T-2E Buckeye "160092" also from Kalamata in its "Vietnam" style scheme with the lighthouse rudder and fuel tanks.

One of the exotic participations was the EAF K-8E Karakorum "6325" of the 201st Sq. EAF. Here the Leader of the EAF Silver Eagles sits in the cockpit...

And here are the rest of the Silver Eagles pilots, around 'Mostafa'! Very friendly and open guys I might add!

Just arrived from Araxos (their diversion airport) is one of the two 22FS F-16's is pushbacked to its position, since they aborted their landing in Tanagra on Thursday due to the storm.

Another rare appearance was this Serbian J-22 Orao "25531", with an Archangel 05 'zap' in its nose!

On Friday afternoon the Croatian Antonov-32 "727" has just landed.

Also from VOC was Super Galeb "23638" seen here shortly before bring prepared for its demonstration flight with Major major Sasa Ristic at the controls.

And here is a look inside the Super Galeb's cockpit.

In front of the Super Galeb's pitot tube we can see the Polish AF An-26 "1406" supporting the Orliks, while a Belgian Falcon can be seen in the far end.

Austrian Air Force SAAB 105 "H" (red) was part of the static display, seen with an interesting "anti theft" device inside the cockpit!

This photo was taken inside 114MSV (Mira Sintirisis Vasis, Base Maintenance Squadron) hangar and shows the 2 Luftwaffe Typhoons, 30+06 and 30+08, were they were kept away from the spotlight.

On the right side of the Super Galeb we can see the 2 Grippens "147" and "148", Harrier GR.7A "ZG472", the Belgian and Dutch display F-16's "J-055" and "FA-133" and IAR.99 "718"/

This Spanish CN-235 "35-34" can be seen here at the HAI tarmac om Friday noon right after the rain.

And opposite was this HN P-3B Orion "153441", its grey scheme matching the stormy sky...

On Sunday the weather was great and over 200000 people attended! Aviation enthusiasts were not the only ones that enjoyed the first Archangel!
