From ACIG.org ACIG Books, Articles & Media
After repeated cases of unfair use of ACIG.org materials on forums of the Key Publishing Ltd., after repeated cases of offense against ACIG.org, its authors and correspondents, and given that such actions are not only continued on Key Publishing Ltd. forums, but also tolerated by Key Publishing Ltd. staff; after repeated cases of plagiarisation and unfair use of ACIG.org materials and materials of ACIG.org authors and correspondents in the magazine Air Forces Monthly, published by Key Publishing Ltd.; as well as because the management of Key Publishing Ltd. is ignoring our demands to take steps to prevent such actions in the future or provide an apology, the team of ACIG.org sees itself forced to announce the following steps: - The use of ACIG.org materials, materials of ACIG.org authors or correspondents on any of Key Publishing Ltd. forums; by any staff-members of Key Publishing Ltd. or any other persons but authors and copyright-owners is from this moment STRICTLY and EXPLICITLY forbidden - The use of any ACIG.org materials in any of Key Publishing Ltd. publications by staff of Key Publishing Ltd. or any other persons but authors and copyright-owners is from this moment STRICTLY and EXPLICITLY forbidden. Those viollating this announcement are, for the start, going to be banned from ACIG.org website and forum. In the case of repeated viollations of our copyrights they are facing legal actions. These measures are regrettable, but they are the only way left at our disposal. Since December 23rd, 2005, we have several times attempted to bring to attention of the management of Key Publishing Ltd. that their forum is being used for unfair use of ACIG.org materials, for conduct of actions offensive and damaging to ACIG.org, its authors and correspondents, as well as that the editor of the magazine AirForces Monthly has several time plagiarised and/or unfairly used materials of ACIG.org authors and correspondents. We have demanded from the management of Key Publishing Ltd. such actions to be stopped and a corresponding apology to be published. Our demands have been ignored. Unfair use of ACIG.org materials on Key Publishing Ltd. forums (such like posting of photographs owned by ACIG.org, its authors and correspondents, and clearly identified as such by an ACIG.org logo, but this being removed) was continued, and Key Publishing Ltd. staff did nothing to stop such actions and behaviour. The management as well as the staff of the Key Publishing Ltd. has further increased their offense of ACIG.org, its authors and correspondents by banning the name/designation “ACIG" from Key Publishing Ltd. forums, thus making it impossible for those who wish to respect our copyrights and credit our work properly to respect international laws and regulations. No apology for plagiarisations and unfair use of ACIG.org materials in the magazine AirForces Monthly – owned by Key Publishing Ltd. - has been published, nor was publishing of such an apology announced to us. On the contrary: in response to our demands an apology for such actions to be published, the management of Key Publishing Ltd. stated that these issues have all “been dealth with”. Our inquiry in which manner have these issues “been dealth with” was left without an answer. Even more so, an additional act of unfair use (bordering on plagiarisation) of materials of an author associated with ACIG.org occurred in the Air Forces Monthly magazine in the meantime. ACIG.org is a non-profit organization registered in Austria: according to corresponding Austrian laws and regulations, companies and persons acting in manner the staff of Key Publishing Ltd. did, make themselves responsible of actions that result in - and/or support -copyright violations and unfair use, as well as personal offense. Because of this situation, and as already announced several times, we are going to take steps in accordance with corresponding laws and regulations, and issue a legal suit against Key Publishing Ltd. its owner and members of its staff. Furthermore, the team of ACIG.org reserves itself a right to make public all past and future copyright violations and cases of unfair use of ACIG.org materials by Key Publishing Ltd., its staff, and its publications. We are going to publish the scans of all ACIG.org materials, materials belonging to its authors and correspondents published by AirForces Monthly magazine in an unfair manner, or based on ACIG.org materials or materials belonging to its authors and correspondents and plagiarised by Key Publishing Ltd. staff. The above-mentioned measures are going to remain in force unless this issue is solved in a legal and public manner, and in a manner satisfactory to the ACIG.org, its team-members, authors and correspondents.
