Time and again we get photographs of models built by our visitors and contributors. Some of these are really expertly done, and we think they belong being presented on our website, even if not all of them show aircraft used in wars since 1945. This gallery is presenting models build by Terrence Campion, who has already presented his models on several shows, and also in the magazines. Terrence has so far built foremost aircraft from the WWII-era, but plans several projects about post-war aviation. We are looking forward to see these as well!
Somewhat of a rarity are good and accurate models of pre-WWII Yugoslav Messerschmitts, like this Bf.109E
Another rarity was this D.520, built from Tamiya kit for an "East Goes Red" display Quarter Scale Group. The Kit was built straight from the box, sprayed in white primer, with mottle and uppers painted by hand, using Humbrol acrylics. Decals are from AeroMaster, and then quite some weathering was added by water colours.
A P-47 of the French Air Force, as flown from Italy or Corsica. Model is again from Monogram, hand-brushed and weathered with washes, re-painted, then some water-colours and silver pencil. Decals are from a spare box.
Monogram's P-47, with decals from Aeromaster, presenting a Thunderbolt flown from Saipan in the WWII.
Above and bellow: two Corsairs from the Korean War, both in markings of the USMC, prepared for a show held back in the year 2000. Both are built from Academy kits in 1:48. The top two photographs show an F4U-4B, built straight from the box, except for detailed cocpit. Both models were hand-brushed in a mixture of Tamiya Dark Blue and Black, with extensive weathering. Decals are from a variety of sources.
This is a specially modified F4U-4 with 6-guns and slightly altered armament as well as store positions. Decals are from Hasegawa's F4U-4 (built years back but in RN colours).
This Egyptian Air Force MiG-17PF was built from Hobbycraft kit for IPMS Stafford's display in 2003. Another MiG-17 is to follow - in Algerian markings.
